Education
I earned my undergraduate degree in food science and nutrition and a graduate degree in human nutrition. I've additionally received a Diploma of Health Science, a Certificate IV in Retail, and a Certificate IV in Small Business Management. I've also completed the Victorian Food Literacy Training through The Red Cross.
Experience
I have extensive instructional experience as a tutor and integration aide. I've worked with students of all ages and in a variety of subject areas. I currently work primarily with middle school and high school students in the fields of mathematics, science, and reading and college students who are studying public health, nutrition, life science, general chemistry, general biology, and human development. One of the benefits of working with a student individually is the ability to tailor the sessions to meet the student's specific academic concerns. This type of personalization can increase student engagement with the material while also reducing their frustration with the process.
